Nap time

So instead of putting the house together or doing Jillian michaels I am eating Mac n cheese and watching sex n the city in my pajamas and manolo's ... Who wants to be my friend?

WEEBLES

So... this is a fun little story to tell you how our lives have changed...

So we moved into our new house on Thursday... we officially live in MISSISSIPPI.
This will soon tell you HOW officially we live in Mississippi.
back to the story.
So the toilet was clogged... i won't name names but we knew it wasn't me and Jack isn't potty trained yet so... anyway moving on.
This toilet thing started to become an issue so Nick set out to get a plunger.
This is at 9pm folks.  Nick said he felt so WT (white trash) walking into walmart at night and walking out with a 6 pack of budlight and a plunger... pause for reaction or uproar of laughter.
I love my husband.  I assured him he was overdressed for that occasion.
Well... what clogged our toilet?
The culpret was...
a WEEBLE!

Jack's brand new toy had been strewn into the porcelain throne never to live again.  Poor guy was drowned.
Yes Weeble's clog my toilets now...
I send my husband out to walmart and weebles clog my toilet.
My life as a Mississippi wife and mom.

Did you hear?

My brother got into a car accident.
Here is brother:
It was Thursday March 8.
I was outside washing the car while Jack napped.
Mother came outside and said "Brandon was in an accident, he called and left a message saying he was laying in the middle of the street."
... um...
Then the story unfolded.
First off like i said i was washing the car.  The radio decides to play "Praise you in this Storm."
Okay God, i get it.  You've got this and i need not worry.
Thank you.
Later on after mom and i frantically email all of brothers friends on facebook begging for answers...
We find out Brandon was driving on campus (Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA) around a corner.  Another student was also driving on this same road.  Other driver decides to pass someone in his lane going around said corner at a speed of 60+ mph.  Not cool.  Brother was in the other lane but said driver was in BROTHERS lane going around the corner to pass.  Said driver hit brother and pushed his car back 78 feet.  Brother climbed out of his driver side window and that was about all he had in him.  The ambulance took him to the ER and he had emergency surgery on his shattered knee the next morning.  His knee was in 14 pieces and is now back into one.  We call him Brandon  3.0 :)  My robot brother.
This is one of the pictures of brothers car.  We praise Jesus that he is alive!
Thank you Lord.
Mom and i flew to Lynchburg to try and help brother around for his first few days out of the hospital.
Little did we know we would be outdone by a very cute and lovely girl.
exhibit A
makes you sick doesn't it?  She is adorable while using star wars tongue tattoos!  WHO DOES THAT!?!
(we like her)
Then we pretended we were students...
Well mom IS.
And learned a new game: Mexican Dominos!
Don't play with mom she cheats!
(p.s. this is all while brother is VERY drugged up)
Poor guy.
...AND...the creepy portion of the trip.
This is Jerry Fallwell's house.  That grave right there... yep that's Jerry Fallwell.
I love you Nick but i am NOT burying you in our front yard.
It's creepy.

*Update*
Brandon had his second knee surgery this last Thursday (12th of April).
They originally thought he would need MULTIPLE surgeries.
They went in planning to at least shorten the screws in his knee but possibly replace the entire thing because it wasn't healing correctly.
We prayed.
God answered.
They got in there and the knee had healed perfectly!
Brandon will be able to walk on it in a few weeks!
Praise Jesus!

ROAD TRIP

Miles: 2,686
Hours: 49
Goal: To see NICK

We found a few famous dudes on the way
and an arch...
and that's about it.
We were all anxious to see this guy...

:)
Makes your heart smile doesn't it?
A BIG shout out to my mom and pops for doing the drive with me/for me!
Thank you for putting up with the screaming and hangin' Louey's.

Grandpa's Gifts

My Grandpa made this boat bed (not finished yet) for Jack.
HOW CUTE IS IT!
AHHH... I can't stand it!
PLUS think about all the love that went into our boat bed and then quadruple the excitement because the boat bed that i wanted:
is $1,399!  SAY WHA?
Plus he made this!
An Oar side table!!!
I cannot wait to set up Jack's new Toddler room!
YIPPEE SKIPPEE!

These are the sheets that i am in love with.
I am hoping i can make a pillow cover and a flat sheet for less than $59 dollars though...

And here was my SMALL token of gratitude to Grandpa for making us these wonderful pieces.
(that is my first sewn card)
So first things first...
I FIXED my hair.
Well... with a hat.

This is our trip-o-meter from Montgomery AL to Columbus MS after all of the raining on our faces that happened at the Montgomery Airport.  Stupid rain.
(I miss you mom and dad)
(you too brother)
We received GREAT news when we got on base.
Columbus is apparently the CITY THAT HAS IT ALL!
we didn't know.
We had NO CLUE.
So these are the planes Nick will be flying first.
June 7!
T-6
(if i remember correctly)
Well next we looked for houses...
We went through the entire 6 page listing of houses the base gave us.
Do you know what we chose?
The townhouse that i found while living in Germany.
Yep.
Life's funny sometimes!
So here she is...
our new home.
and these are our neighbors ducks
This is one of the many pictures of ferns i have been texting my mom.
(she thinks i need ferns now that i live in the south.)
So far i vote no.
And this is the temperature yesterday after Church.

So far we have seen some CRAZY bugs.  Something was hopping around the hotel we are in... do cockroaches jump?  I tried to kill him but he LEAPED out of the way! AHH!
I killed a freaky lookin spider today.
We saw one of Hopper's gang at the pool yesterday.
... and embarassing moment for me...
we pulled the car over on the way to Church yesterday because i was afraid of a moth.
HE TRIED TO EAT ME I TELL YOU!
I saw him, he made eye contact.

He flew at me, phangs dripping with blood...

(the closest picture i could find to something with SCARY fangs)
:)

i screamed.
I pulled both legs into my body and yelped.
Nick pulled over and asked me to calm down.
LOL
:)
Then he put on his armor

and got that moth OUT OF THE CAR.
I'm pretty sure the technical name for this was "Swashbuckling".

*Pictures posted are not ACTUAL pictures of the scary moth and or Nick.

Okay but seriously that moth had the body of sasquatch with the wings of a velociraptur!
serious.

Present for the Pilot

I wanted to get Nick a present for his OTS graduation...
BUT I'm cheap.
Mainly because i don't make any money.
So...
Nick liked this:

So i know mine isn't as cool but it was NOT $299
it was $15
So... there.

We are not in Washington anymore...

Here is how I know. Do you think the big "southern" hair is because you wake up like that?
