Captivating

We are reading Captivating in our Bible study group right now (and the boys are reading Wild at Heart). It has just been such a blessing to me and my life RIGHT NOW. I read the book about 4 years ago and loved it then, but it is speaking differently to me to my life now as well. God is good all the time. He always knows what you need at that specific moment! HALLELUJAH!

Crabby

I don't feel well, and then on top of it i had forgotten that i promised someone that i would make her a cake!!! OOPS! Well here it is... i am going to bed!

P.s. I don't like cake but this recipe was pretty good. Coconut cake with Cream cheese and coconut frosting!

The cake, pail and crab are all cakes.

BABY SHOWER!

My friend is throwing a "Birds and the Bees" themed baby shower for Baby Gwen. I am in charge of the cupcakes and a diaper cake. I also wanted to try flooding cookies for the first time... AND all the presents are supposed to be hand made. I am knitting a baby sweater, making felt booties, and hopefully a nursery ryhme CD. We will see...

Thank you Grandma for the Marzipan! It works way better than fondant and tastes better too!

A lazy Saturday...

Nothing will remind me of my Daddy like a great breakfast on a Saturday morning. Dad would always wake up early and fix all of us a terrific breakfast: Swedish pancakes, waffles, coffee cake, etc. This morning i woke up and decided i had a hankerin for some pancakes topped with my new knottsberry farm syrup! Yum!

Cleanliness is next to Godliness

This has been my prayer lately. That i would be the perfect wife for my husband. I am trying too cook healthier meals, keep the house clean, be diligent to God's word, and the list goes on...


It is a daily struggle for me to have energy to do all these things after work and school. I desperately need God's help to complete these tasks with a smile on my face. It is a lot easier when my hubby finally comes home and i remember how blessed I am.

Birthday Time!

My husbands birthday was Monday, so i threw him a not so surprise birthday party!

We had three kinds of wine, and five different cheeses. Yum!

Valentines Day!

I love all holidays... I am making Pasta Salad with heart shaped pasta! I am so excited, last year i couldn't find any heart shaped pasta so i cut pepperoni into hearts for about an hour... so the pasta will be a lot easier, and prettier! I will take any excuse to make fun foods!
