Here is my Easter Basket from mom and dad

YES, i DO still get an easter basket even though i am 23 years old!

A rather terrific Easter basket if you ask me...

2 dresses, red tea, candle, loofah, lotions, martha mini cookbook,

bee spoon rest, candy and a bee happy key chain.  

LOVE IT!  Thank you mom and dad!

PLUS everything in the box was wrapped in Easter colored tissue paper, my mom is adorable!  :)

My frosting stood up to the heat this time and was fluffy yet firm enough for me to pipe correctly.

Something about me...

Something you may not know about me is that i have grandiose ideas and don't have the skills to match them.  The thing that may surprise you is that i don't usually remember this/figure it out until the project is done and i am sad.

Life lessons from my mom

"Frost your cupcake".  

translation: wear lipgloss anytime you go out of the house
"Trust your first instincts whether it be a test question or duvet".
Do your homework.
Clean your house.
Love your family.
Pray continually.
Choose friends wisely.
Invest in others.
Always add things in odd numbers.
For example: you cannot have two frames on an entry way table, you need one or three.
Do at least one beneficial (to others) thing a day.
"Make a joyful noise".
You should fill your closet with "classic" pieces, you won't regret them later.
Make time for family, at the end of the day they are all you've got.
Think creatively.
Do your best, all the time.

Feeling European

Today i felt european.

On the way to and from base i practiced my french with my learning Cd's

Then i went shopping on the German economy which i rarely do...

I went to buy a bouquet of flowers for someone who has been helping me learn the in's and out's of my job (after a year of me being in the position)  I am thankful, anyways that one task turned into this...

I was taking out the trash and heard

I think we have an Owl neighbor!

The hunt (not really hunt but you know) begins to find the beloved neighbor!

Also side note, on the way home last night i saw a guy hitting on a girl while sitting on a tractor, no joke.  Gotta love Germany!
