How did i ever forget about whole chickens?  They do not take that long (45 min.) and taste fabulous for only $3.47, you just can't beat it. :)  I stuffed my chicken with lemons quartered, and rosemary sprigs.  I threw whole cloves of garlic, and chicken broth in the bottom of my roasting pan and rubbed lemon zest, sea salt and whole peppercorns on the skin.  Mmm...

Okay my weird purchase #2... Endive.  

Okay maybe it isn't THAT weird, but i have never used it...

I made a salad

Feta cause it makes everything betta, walnuts, pears and endive with a dijon, rice wine vinegar dressing.  

I am currently munching on said salad and don't know why endive is any different from any other lettuce...

 One thing down... a trillion and one to go, but at least one thing is done right?  Here is my trio collection of paintings.  Now i must give my self a mani due to all the splattered paint on my nails. 

 These will hang here (instead of our mismatch collection) once the hubby is home and can figure out how to mount my flat paneled canvases.  :)

Seriously, Guacamole, cress sprouts, roast beef and pepper jack HELLO!

Fennel, don't get too comfy i haven't decided how i feel about you yet.  

Seriously, don't make fun of me...

BUT i randomly pick stuff out at the grocery store and then come home and make up stuff.

I had NO idea what vegetable this was when i grabbed it... 

but what better time but the present to try new things right?  So here we have roasted fennel i just added garlic, salt and pepper with a squirt of olive oil.  It's not my fave but it might be fun to throw in with other roasted vegetables since it had a random sweet taste.

I am seriously trying to get into Artichokes, i love them marinated and in things... but i have been buying fresh ones and trying... no go so far.  These were roasted and i stuffed them with Spinach, cheese, garlic...

Truthfully you are no friend of mine if you don't taste good stuffed with those three ingredients.

powdered sugar, egg whites and lemon juice...

& New cookie cutters make all of this...

The best part is, once they are dry all the flooding that went over, breaks off easily

making perfect cookies, and once i throw away the wax paper... my kitchen is clean!

Plus a doily, and these are a great gift!

So you had a bad day

I officially hate being a little girl.  I hate that anyone can sway me with a kind word, that i can't "man up" and stick to my guns and that ... i am me sometimes!
To make a bad situation worse i slipped on wet mat and poured hot coffee grounds on myself this morning.  2nd degree burn on my face and 1st degree burns all over my arms.  I was wheeled out on a stretcher in front of our morning crowd of customers.  I was asked "do you have anyone?" and with hubby gone my answer was sadly, no.  I was alone in an ambulance crying.  STUPID.

So here i am; gauze wrapped body soaking my cardi  (BRAND NEW by the way, i got it in the mail yesterday!)in stain remover in pain and craving a hug from my beloved.  Stupid TDY do you really need him as much as i do?

Off to do my Accounting midterm... the day just keeps getting better and better doesn't it?
